& BLOOD DRIVE

Veterans Appreciation:  9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Blood Drive: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
(appointments available through church office)

To be held in the
Multi-Purpose Building & Parking Lot

There will be a display of military vehicles and equipment in the parking lot, and militaria displays and veterans with their personal mementos, photos, uniforms and souvenirs on display in the Multi-Purpose building.  They will be sharing their experiences and answering questions about their time in the service.

This will be a time when we all can come and meet our veterans, and show our appreciation to them for their service and sacrifices to protect the freedoms we all enjoy each day.  Without them, we all would be living a different life today.  Let's have a big crowd out to say, "Thank You"!

Ministry Opportunities

First Baptist Church provides many opportunities for activities for the entire family. 

We have a comprehensive ministry plan, which seeks to enrich the lives of our members.

  • Educational departments are dedicated to the teaching of the Scriptures. 
  • Mission’s emphasis takes members around the world. 
  • The Youth Department ministers to the larger Van community and their families.
  • College and Career have their own tight knit community and fellowship regularly. 
  • The Men’s Group meets Thursday mornings at 6 AM.  Breakfast is provided and fellowship is free!
  • Our Women's Ministry Group in 2009 has a special women's conference coming up in November.  Check out the link to find out more!
  • We have a blended worship service and a traditional stance on home and family.
