Ministry Opportunities

First Baptist Church provides many opportunities for activities for the entire family. 

We have a comprehensive ministry plan, which seeks to enrich the lives of our members.

  • Educational departments are dedicated to the teaching of the Scriptures. 
  • Mission’s emphasis takes members around the world. 
  • The Youth Department ministers to the larger Van community and their families.
  • College and Career have their own tight knit community and fellowship regularly. 
  • The Men’s Group meets Thursday mornings at 6 AM.  Breakfast is provided and fellowship free!
  • Our Women's Ministry Group meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm with a different program each month. 

We have a blended worship service and a traditional stance on home and family.
